Miss Ila Mae "Jakie" Hoffman, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Max Hoffman, Dorchester, and Matt Duellman, son of Henry Duellman, Abbotsford, were united in marriage, Tuesday morning, April 24, at 11:30 at the Lutheran parsonage at Dorchester, Wis. The Rev. J. Brandt read the marriage service.
For the occasion the bride wore a royal blue suit with pink accessories. She wore a gold cross, the gift of the groom, a corsage of carnations, snap dragons and ferns.
Miss Lois Stock, cousin of the bride, and Ray Anderson attended the couple.
Miss Stock wore a suit of brown with gold accessories and gold cross and chain. Her flowers were like those of the bride.
A 7:00 o’clock dinner for 12 guests was served in the Jack Heisel dining room, decorated in a color scheme of pink and white. A beautifully decorated wedding cake was made by Mrs. Haisel and the dinner was served by Mrs. Haisel and Mrs. Minnie Strassburger.
In the evening a wedding dance was given at Wiedenhoeft’s pavilion.
Mr. and Mrs. Duellman are making their home for the present in Abbotsford with the bride’s sister, Mrs. Lewis Goldamer. The groom, who is a truck driver for Western Condensing, has just received his honorable discharge from the army with the rank of sergeant. He spent four and one-half years in the service, part of which was in Panama.
